Why SHOULD I PAY FOR A DUNGEON MASTER?

Maybe you are completely new and really want to learn how to play the game. Maybe you have a friend who runs games from time to time, but his life makes it hard to play those high quality adrenaline pumping adventures you are craving.  Most people like to play but shy away from the DM seat for a variety of reasons.  Running an awesome session often requires the DM to spend hours preparing an adventure and even with those hours of prepping they can still find themselves improvising in the middle of a session. Needless to say it is not easy.

It can be stressful for many people.  A professional Dungeon Master has worked on this craft long enough to where they can confidently provide a great adventure where transitions are seamless and the players can focus on the story of their heroes.  At the end of the day our goal is to give you an experience that is worth everyone’s time!

I AM DOWN! WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

First thing to do is reach out through our contact form, CLICK HERE!  Payment is due in full when you book your date.  If a game date needs to be changed to a new time or day, you can feel confident that our DM is willing to work with you.

If a cancellation is needed, it must be done within 48 hours for a full refund.

I want to play but I don't have anyone to join with me. What are My options?

That stinks! We need to get you some people to play with!  Which is why we also offer weekly and monthly events! where players can sign up in advance to join fellow adventurers from other parts of the country and set out on awesome quests together!  Head over to our Adventure Sign up Page and see what peeks your interest!  CLICK HERE!   Full Sign up includes locking in an available slot and sending full payment.  Payment is due in full when you book your date.

Due to valuing other players and our Game Masters time, if a game date can not be made, we need at least 48 hours notice for a full refund.  otherwise the best we can offer is moving your game slot to another week or an upcoming monthly Story Arc.

If you sign up for a Monthly Story Arc and leave after one session we will not be able to give a full or partial refund.  But we are willing to allow you to switch to another monthly upcoming game one time only.

WHAT IS A TABLETOP RPG AND HOW DO I PLAY?

RPG stands for Role Playing Game.  Unlike other types of role-playin games tabletop games, in each session, a specially designated player called the Dungeon Master (DM), acts as a referee and Storyteller.

Playing Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is easy to do.  While you may think you need to know a lot, the truth is you do not need any experience. The DM will navigate you through every encounter, puzzle or challenge.  All you have to do as the player is choose how your character will behave. The DM will clarify the game’s mechanics and rules.

WHAT DO I NEED? AND WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?

You don’t need to bring anything. We supply pencils, paper, dice, pre-made characters, and rule books.
However, extras always come in handy.

To get prepared you can always check out the PLAYERS BASIC RULES  (PRINT VERSION).  You might also want to check out some YOUTUBE VIDEOS of people playing or explaining parts of the game.

But don’t get scared, because with everything said; there isn’t anything you have to know before you can play.  All types of players are welcomed to start adventuring!

CAN I BRING MY OWN CHARACTER?

You most absolutely can!  But please always ask about what type of characters are allowed when booking.   Also note that the Dungeon Master will make all final decisions for each character before each session begins.  We want everyone to have fun but not at the expense of the other players at the table.

WHAT KIND OF A SETUP DO WE NEED IN ORDER TO PLAY?

  • A place to play

  • A large table and enough chairs to go around

  • Feel free to bring/make/order snacks and drinks

The most important things to consider before playing is having enough space for everyone.  You also want to be able to talk without yelling above noisy crowds.

Just remember, as long as everyone can sit down comfortably and play, everything else will be good to go!

MY KID AND THEIR FRIENDS WANT TO PLAY, DO YOU ACCOMMODATE YOUNGER PLAYERS?

For sure!  We enjoy helping younger generations discover their imagination and having fun without relying on video games!

The current minimum age we teach is 12 years old.  But we do always require that at least one person 19 yrs+ must be present.
